Effulgence RPG shows an amazing world.
Andrei Fomin is a solo retro game developer. Recently, he has released a brand-new trailer for his next game called Effulgence RPG. It's a turn-based RPG where all graphics are made of colorful text symbols.
The story plot explains why the game adopts this art style. The signal from a strange world is left with fragments of symbols after being sent from a galaxy a million light-years away.
The beginning shot of the trailer is extremely satisfying, with a shot killing the enemy and breaking it down into individual particles. This is actually the only way to gather crafting resources in this game.

The particles you gain can be used to print weapons, gear, and mechanisms on a special printer. The game offers more than a hundred blueprints for items you can print. There is also an advanced upgrade system where you can make the characters stronger.
If you are fascinated by the game's unique style, here are more clips shared by the developer to showcase the game's Battle on the Sea, The Chill and Skill location where your HP can slowly refill, and Smugglers' Glade where you can buy essentials and pick up quests in any of the four huts:
Effulgence RPG is scheduled to be released on September 25, and you can now request to join the playtest by clicking the "request access" button on its Steam page. Don't forget to add it to your wishlist there.
