Check Out This WIP Wall-Running & Grinding System in Action
Developer MortMort reworked his early game prototype.
Developer MortMort has shared an early look at a WIP wall-running and grinding system for his in-development game Bunny Bounce.
The core mechanics are already functional, though the system is still in its early stages. The developer notes that the system was reworked from an earlier project made during his first steps in 3D development. The developer plans to polish the system further, though it isn't the current focus.
As for the game itself, MortMort wants to keep Bunny Bounce grounded rather than fast-paced, comparing it to Mario. The goal is to keep movement fluid and intentional. The developer notes that skips with a single jump would be fine as long as levels don't end up feeling redundant. For inspiration, MortMort looks to Sunshine, Sonic Adventure 2, and Tony Hawk 4, prioritizing flow and style over speed.
