Check Out Work Behind See-Through Hair & Mesh Shadows on 3D Anime Girl

VTuber models can be real pieces of art, and Bragok 3D can prove it to you with their avatar for Demon Lord Micaela and the details the artist added.

In their new showcase, they demonstrated what the anime girl's face looks like in Blender and Unity, and her see-through hair is an impressive feat that many other artists usually don't bother with.

Bragok 3D also shared that the shadow cast by the hair is actually a mesh rendered with stencils. "Getting a sharp, clean cast shadow that stays just where you want it to be and still follows the hair movement (it's weight-painted to the hair) can be hard to do in Unity, at least in the built-in render pipeline," they said, so mesh it was.
