Blender enthusiast Rahul "DoubleGum" Parihar demonstrated the power of his Woolly Blender add-on by dressing Hollow Knight's Hornet in a sequin outfit. "We got sequin modifier before Silksong," he said cheekily, showing the different parameters you can change for the material, including the base color, density, and hole size. In essence, these are "discs instanced on the surface that use a simple metallic shader."

What makes it extra cool is that Woolly is a procedural felt shader that covers 3D models with, well, wool. Parihar has promised more tools and shaders, so I assume sequins are coming in one of the future updates.
The artist has turned the Hollow Knight protagonist's head into a plushie before, so I expect more familiar faces in his experiments ahead.

As for Silksong, it is reportedly "not in dev hell" even though the lack of news points to it. Perhaps Parihar will release several more add-ons before we see the sequel.
