The wonderful guys from Dokai Tutorials have published the first episode of a tutorial, which helps you generate complex roads with Houdini.

If you see some huge open world city or a large location anywhere in a modern game, it was most likely done in Houdini. This tool allows one tech specialist to do some magic and create a system, which will help you instantly generate complex buildings and communication systems for in-game use! But how do you do it? Well, Dokai Tutorials has the answer.

Unlike most tutorials, this new video actually centers on the production of intersections. The artists talk about the problems that may arise and explain how to solve them. This is not a  tutorial for newbies, but if you already know how to work in Houdini, you might find this very useful.
