Love Sick Cat might receive a Steam page and demo version soon.
Indie game developer Pockolas has presented an amazing showcase of the nearly completed first level of their WIP project, Love Sick Cats. It is a fast-paced action game with PS1-style graphics and a cool dynamic music system that enriches the layers of music by adding sounds of guitars, amen break, and vocals when an object is completed:
Judging from the footage, the game's protagonist, the adorable cat killer, fights against waves of enemies using various weapons, such as a shotgun, baseball bat, and MP5. The combat delivers a great sense of satisfaction when accompanied by the high-octane soundtrack.
For each shot, whether a body shot or a headshot, you'll earn some cash and extra cash through a combo. The developer mentioned that the cash accumulated could be used to buy upgrades and probably items like a grapple in a shop.
It seems the project is still in early development, and a Steam page is on its way. Currently, some ideas are under consideration, such as skateboarding, wall jumping, or wall riding, which could make the cat's movement even more stylized.
While preparing for the Steam page, the developer is also working on content for a demo version. If you don't want to miss the news in the future, follow the developer on X/ Twitter.
