A formidable enemy made for VED.
Take a look at this awesome chain-made dragon created by developer Karaclan using Spine, a 2D skeletal animation tool.
The electric creature is fear-inspiring, with a spiky tail no less threatening than its breath. The dragon, Savior, was created for VED, a story-driven RPG with turn-based combat, set between parallel worlds.
"I remember going to a 2D animator interview back in 2017 and seeing Spine 2D for the first time – my world turned upside down. (I remember thinking, even if I didn’t get the job, I’d still walk away a winner!) Before that, I had only used frame-by-frame animation in Photoshop. You can imagine my excitement when I saw bone animation, which makes it easy to do 60 fps instead of 12 hand drawn frames. I really love the combo of Unity and Spine," the developer shared.
