Andrew Averkin has celebrated the holiday season with a new impressive scene.
Andrew Averkin, a renowned 3D Environment Artist and Senior Art Manager at NVIDIA, has celebrated the ongoing holiday season by unveiling "Keep Me Warm", a festive and remarkably cozy 3D scene that can make even the Grinchiest of Grinches embrace the spirit of Christmas and New Year.
According to the creator, the scene was set up using 3ds Max and NVIDIA Omniverse USD Composer, an Omniverse app for world-building that allows users to assemble, light, simulate, and render large-scale scenes. Attached below are some of the renders shared by the artist, you can check out more by visiting Andrew's ArtStation page:
For those unfamiliar, Omniverse Composer is a neat environment art tool built using NVIDIA's Omniverse Kit. Its Scene Description and in-memory model are built upon Pixar's USD, leveraging advanced USD workflows like Layers, Variants, Instancing, and more.
When combined with the MDL Material Description and an RTX-based renderer running on an NVIDIA RTX graphics card, it empowers users to create visually compelling and physically accurate worlds. Omniverse USD Composer seamlessly integrates with Pixar's Hydra, enabling the display of USD content in any Hydra renderer designed for the relevant USD version.
Connected to an Omniverse Nucleus server, the tool allows real-time collaborative world authoring across multiple Omniverse applications, machines, and users, facilitating advanced collaborative workflows.
