Create Procedural Wave Motion In Maya With This Free Tool

WaveManager from Julen Armendariz is designed for tentacles, hair, snakes, tails, and any sequential FK controls.

WaveManager is a powerful yet easy-to-use tool for Maya that lets you generate smooth, procedural wave motion across any set of selected controls without the need for keyframes. It operates through driven expressions, allowing all wave attributes to be managed from a single driver control.

You can adjust amplitude, speed, length, falloff, and offset simultaneously on the X, Y, and Z axes, making it perfect for animating tentacles, snakes, ropes, tails, chains, hair, wings, or any sequential control hierarchy. You can optionally enable Create Offset Group, which automatically generates an offset group above each control. This keeps the wave expression separate, leaving the original control channels untouched and animation-friendly.
