Michael Tiedtke showcased a new affordable plug-in created by Xlip Dev for Unreal Engine 5, compatible with versions 5.4 and 5.5 as well, that lets you capture face animations using Android, webcams, or any video source. With ML-generated depth frames, the process is simple and accessible.

The captured footage can then be used to create high-quality MetaHuman performances, enhancing your virtual characters and animation workflows, all without the need for an iPhone or complex setups like before.
