Solo Indie Developer Oblivisight has been building their own horror game framework, which started as a simple door-interaction system and gradually evolved into something much larger: the Oblivisight Horror Engine, a template designed for creating games inspired by Outlast and Resident Evil.
As of now, it includes realistic door mechanics, parkour and vaulting mechanics, a hiding system, a conversation system, polished first-person controls, overlay/state functionality, pushable actors, and more.
