Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 Update Will Overhaul the Whole Game

New weapons, vehicles, and redesigns are coming.

We've heard a lot about Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion, which adds a new ending and a lot of content to CD PROJEKT RED's game. However, there is another major release coming – "Update 2.0" which will "overhaul your Cyberpunk 2077 experience."

It will bring huge changes for every player, including skill trees with new perks, redesigned cyberware, new weapons and vehicles, revamped police, and more. Some features, like a Relic skill tree, will only be available for Phantom Liberty owners.

But what comes first – Update 2.0 or Phantom Liberty? Unfortunately, Global Community Director Marcin Momot couldn't share this information and just said to wait until "we get into September and closer to the release date of Phantom Liberty."

To get the best of out the DLC, you should try NVIDIA's recently announced DLSS 3.5 AI upscaling technology, which improves ray tracing with Ray Reconstruction (RR). The company has already demonstrated what it can do in a demo.

Looking at all the improvements that are about to happen, I agree with PC Gamer: you should probably start a new game to catch up with the amount of content CD PROJEKT RED offers.

While you're waiting for more information about the update, don't forget that Phantom Liberty is going to be released on September 26.
