Death Stranding 2 Might Be Featured in The Tokyo Game Show

The Tokyo Game Show is coming this September. In addition to the usual key participants such as Capcom, Ubisoft Japan, Square Enix, Konami, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Nexon, et cetera, Sony Interactive Entertainment's name on the list has caught everyone's attention. This is because Sony has been absent from the event since 2019. 

What could be the reason for Sony's return to this gaming event? If we look at what they did when they last showed up in the event back to 5 years ago, we could get some hints here. At that time, Sony showcased footage from blockbuster games like Death Stranding and Final Fantasy VII Remake. With Death Stranding 2 set for release next year, and being a PS5 exclusive, it is reasonable to speculate that something related to the game could be the main reason for Sony's return. 

This theory is further bolstered by a tweet from the Death Stranding series' director Hideo Kojima, which shows a poster of the game event without any text, hinting at his potential appearance at the Game Show.
