Detailed Anime-Style Shaded City In Blender & Eevee

3D Artist noveldrum presented a Geometry Nodes-powered city inspired by anime backgrounds.

Drawing inspiration from complex anime backgrounds, 3D Artist noveldrum worked on developing a distinctive approach to color and texture, employing procedural 3D anime-style shading to achieve their unique expression.

Some of those buildings and pipes are created with Geometry Nodes, as the artist aimed to study them as well:

According to noveldrum, the ultimate goal of this 3D project was research for producing their own independent animation. Right now, they're preparing for the upcoming Blender Fes held by CGWORLD this September, where they will be presenting sign materials and talking about stylized shading:
