Digital Human Based on Unity HDRP

Check out another stunning experiment with Unity and iPhone.

Hyeong-il Kim and Gyutaek Lee have recently shared a stunning demo based on Unity HDRP. They created a fully functional rig that can duplicate facial movements with the help of a simple iPhone.

Just think about the potential of this rig and the whole idea. Teams could spend so much on animating characters. Well, we'll have to wait for a couple more years, of course.

There are some other examples you should also check out. There's a nice rig by Yibing Jiang set up with Unity ARkit plugin and an Apple smartphone.

The developer's team set up this rig for their animated short film called 'Windup’. The goal was to achieve animated feature quality and rendered real-time inside the Unity engine.
