Disco Elysium Dev Reportedly Sued and Prohibited to Work on New Games

Summer Eternal's Argo Tuulik received legal claims from Longdue.

ZA/UM

Argo Tuulik, the developer of Disco Elysium, who now works at a new studio, Summer Eternal, claims that he is being sued by Riaz Moola, the founder of Longdue, with an injunction preventing him from working on new games within his new studio until April 2025.

Tuulik took to Twitter and said he received "baseless legal threats" from ZA/UM, the studio that created Disco Elysium, where Tuulik previously worked. The developer also posted photos of the documents that he had received from ZA/UM and CoGrammar, which is a tech company representing LongDue, on the alleged "breach of contract, breach of confidentiality, and copyright infringement."

Following Argo Tuulik's comments on the situation, Longdue provided a statement (via PC Gamer), saying that an independent judge ruled in Longdue's favor in a court hearing over a week ago.

Argo Tuulik was laid off from ZA/UM in February, following the cancelation of a standalone expansion. Former Disco Elysium developers opened three studios, Longdue, Dark Math Games, and Summer Eternal earlier this year after the closure of ZA/UM.
