Dragon Age 4 is In the Middle of Production

BioWare is also working on the next Mass Effect and Star Wars: The Old Republic updates.

BioWare is not known for its frequent news updates, and the team is aware of it and promised to communicate more often with its community. In the second post in the blog this year, the company shared that Dragon Age 4 is in the middle of production, with the team "creating amazing environments, deep characters, strong gameplay, impactful writing, and emotional cinematics."

BioWare promised to talk more about the game this year and establish regular communication with players on the community council.

The team will move on without Dragon Age's Executive Producer Christian Dailey, who stepped into the position in 2020 but left the company to "try new things."

The team has seen other changes: Mac Walters is now the game's Production Director, who led the development of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, while Corrine Busche, who has been leading the design direction, is now Game Director. Benoit Houle is the Director of Product Development.

Aside from Dragon Age, BioWare is working on updates for Star Wars: The Old Republic, which has recently got the expansion Legacy of the Sith.

The studio is also working on the next Mass Effect, with the team, led by Mike Gamble, "prototyping new ideas and experiences." BioWare emphasizes that its priority is quality, even if it takes time.
