It's small and (kind of) portable.
We've seen PlayStation 5 and its Slim version as well as portable consoles like Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, but why doesn't Sony make a mobile PlayStation 5? While I can't answer this question for sure, I know someone who can create something like this.
Matt from the YouTube channel DIY Perks has previously amazed us with his super thin PS5, and now it's time for another experiment. In his recent video, he built a PlayStation 5 tablet – a pretty compact console with a nice screen that you can take with you (there is a catch, though.)

The creator basically took out PS5's parts, switched the heat sink for a smaller equivalent, added heat pipes, three laptop coolers, a 4K OLED display, and some more components and put it all into a pretty case.
Like with any tablet, you can take this custom device with you wherever you go, the catch is it needs a power supply unit to work, which, in turn, requires an outlet, so it's not as portable as you might have expected. Still, it plays the part if you have some power nearby because other than that, it looks like a real tablet, just a little bigger than most.

Tech enthusiasts love disassembling PlayStation consoles. If you'd like to see its custom smaller version, check out Not From Concentrate's take on the device, which makes the original Slim look huge.
