Epic Soldier Super Ability VFX Powered By Unreal Engine 5

Check out Aleksei Shcherbina's damage effects.

Senior VFX Artist Aleksei Shcherbina unveiled his latest creation, featuring dynamic effects for a soldier character in Unreal Engine 5. This soldier is equipped with two weapons, each capable of inflicting varying levels of damage. There's also a super ability: a powerful, high-damage shot from the soldier's gun that is unleashed after charging.

For this project, the artist utilized Unreal Engine 5, Houdini, and After Effects. Click this link to see more shots and check out Aleksei's other works, including his depiction of a 125mm tank projectile penetrating a steel plate. He based this on references and videos of real explosions and cumulative charge penetrations to maintain accuracy and realism.
