Evangelion's Asuka Langley Recreated With Blender & Substance 3D Painter

The model was inspired by Shirogane-sama's cosplay.

3D Artist Wahyu Nugraha, known primarily for creating hard-surface projects, has unveiled an impressive 3D take on Asuka Langley Soryu, one of the main characters from Hideaki Anno's iconic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Inspired by Shirogane-sama's cosplay of the character, the model was made using Blender Cycles, RizomUV, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, TexturingXYZ's materials, and Affinity Photo. According to the author, the project has been in the works since last year and has been quite challenging due to character art not being the artist's primary specialization.
