If you feel that there is not enough Neon Genesis Evangelion in your blood, wait until Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections comes out. This VR/XR game will pull you into the famous anime universe and let you explore it throughout, with hand tracking providing a truly immersive experience.
You should expect hands-on events throughout this year, a press release says, and the game's story will run alongside to crossover with the events of Neon Genesis.
"We aim to depict a ‘crossing experience’ – where real-world players and the world of EVANGELION, the TV anime series and the newly written story, all ‘cross’ within the same timeline – through XR technology," said MK Choi, the game's director.
Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections is set in Tokyo-3 and the NERV HQ, where you play as one of NERV’s trainees and interact with both familiar Evangelion characters and new ones. "As players progress, they will grow and develop through choices and challenges, making their own story an integral part of the gameplay."
If this is not exciting enough, a new anime series was announced at Evangelion:30+; 30th Anniversary of Evangelion, with Nier director Yoko Taro writing the script.
