Expect Lots Of Meat-Covered Alleys In This Upcoming Survival Horror Inspired By 90s Classics

A demo of PHASE ZERO is coming soon.

SPINA Studio, a team that aims to revive the golden age of survival horror, has unveiled its debut title: PHASE ZERO, a survival horror with PS1-era graphics.

PHASE ZERO mixes modern quality-of-life improvements with all those key elements that are rooted in your memory: hair-raising tension, grotesque monsters, immersive 3D environment, gripping sound effects, and fixed cameras, which are the "DNA of the PSX masterpieces."

The story brings you to a town named Flint Peak in 1994 when a snowstorm is approaching. A strange illness is spreading quickly, making things worse by transforming most of the town's residents grotesquely.

In a series style, each chapter of the story features one of the two protagonists, Mary, a reporter new to Flint Peak, and Guy, an injured engineer, who tries their best to survive the night.

"Grotesque, cancerous monsters crawl through the alleys of Flint Peak. Tissue overgrows walls of buildings and meat bursts through the pipes. Empty husks of human skin fill the streets. Will you fight, or will you escape?" The game description reads.

Besides the reveal trailer, the game remains quite mysterious, as no other screenshots or clips have been shared on social media yet.
