Explore a Mysterious City in This Cel-Shaded-Style Game with Handmade Animations
The Explorator is an adventure game with Indiana Jones vibes.
Have a look at The Explorator, an in-progress FPS and exploration game from Remnant Games Studio, crafted in an amazing cel-shaded style.
The game offers players the role of a wanderer investigating a beautiful yet perilous world that, according to a legend, has been invaded by goblins and monsters after explorers tried to find an underwater city. You will need to contact those unlucky explorers and help them. The project features a non-linear semi-open world, with a lot of levels to explore, alongside numerous side quests and secrets to discover. The main story is divided into three chapters, each with unique characters and locations.

The journey is filled with elemental dangers and traps, from thunder and toxic gas to erupting lava and chemical explosions, giving it the feel of a classic adventure film about uncovering ancient mysteries, like Indiana Jones.

The game's visual style combines cel-shading and handmade 2D animation. The gameplay draws inspiration from the Stalker and Metro series, while its old-school 2D animations are influenced by Doom.
