Great news for those who want to go back to the Commonwealth after watching Amazon's TV series.

Whether watching the show made you want to jump back in or you're completely new to the Fallout universe and looking for an entry point, good news, because Bethesda Game Studios is finally releasing a long-awaited free Fallout 4 update for next-gen consoles.
The update features native applications for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Performance mode and Quality mode settings, as well as stability improvements and fixes. Fallout 4 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also receive performance improvements, login, and quest fixes.

There's also a free upcoming update for PC players as well, available for Fallout 4 copy owners on Steam, Microsoft Store, and GOG. Now, you can experience the game on your next-generation PC with widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, as well as fixes to Creation Kit and a variety of quest updates.
Fallout 4 also be Steam Deck verified and available to purchase on the Epic Games Store.

Furthermore, the Fallout 4 updates comes with some free Creation Club content, including cosmetics items such as weapon and armor skins.
Enclave Remnants brings the pre-War cabal and The Enclave into the Fallout 4 storyline. In the new quest called 'Echoes of the Past', you will clash with The Enclave to stop them from "spreading their dangerous ideology and gaining a foothold in the Commonwealth".

Makeshift Weapon Pack includes a variety of unconventional objects that have been transformed into deadly weapons, such as, well, a piggy bank.

There are also 38 new Halloween decorations thrown by the New England Technocrat Society in Halloween Workshop, including witches, cauldrons, ghouls, and more to decorate your settlements.

The updates are coming to Fallout 4 on April 25.
While this is overall exciting news, since the community has been asking for a next-gen update and PlayStation 4 fixes for a while, some people are worried this is going to mirror the recent Skyrim Special Edition update situation, which made players upset by breaking loads of mods.
