Fighting A Procedurally Generated Long Armored Freight Train In Drivers of the Apocalypse

Be aware of exploding tanked carriages.

High-octane action-driving combat game Drivers of the Apocalypse, Jussi-Petteri Kemppainen's solo project, is not going to stop at its current level of intensiveness, as recently, the developer has brought procedurally generated super long armored freight train to the combat in the vast desert.

During the chaos of laser beams and bullets, you can drive across the platform to reach the other side of the train, hiding from attacks and creating damage on both sides. The clip ends with a slow-motion capture of a massive explosion. While showcasing this newly developed vehicle, the developer also wants to hear suggestions on the gameplay or missions involving the train. If you have some interesting ideas in mind, don't hesitate to reach out to share your thoughts.

Soon after the train was created, the developer upgraded the train combat puzzles. "Made the flopping open freight carriage a 2-step process and added an exploding tanked carriage. Naturally both are white-box graphics, just functional passes":

We have covered some really cool features of Drivers of the Apocalypse during its development, for example, the new paint booth feature and the retro upgrade tree system from last year.

This highly-anticipated title does not have a confirmed release date yet. If you're interested in this type of game, add it to your Steam wishlist and follow the developer on X/Twitter to check out daily updated dev logs.
