The time has come. After over 30 years, the sci-fi action-adventure game Flashback is back with a sequel. Microids released a trailer for Flashback 2 announcing its release date. Conrad is going to be back very soon – on November 16.
Aside from the date, the video showcases some gameplay footage as well as the dystopian sights of New Washington.
Flashback was launched in 1992, developed by a team led by Paul Cuisset, who is also working on the sequel.
"2142. After fleeing from a space ship but stripped of all memory, the young scientist Conrad B. Hart awakens on Titan, a colonised moon of the planet Saturn. His enemies and kidnappers are snapping at his heels. He must find a way back to Earth, defending himself against the dangers he encounters and unravelling an insidious extra-terrestrial plot that threatens the planet."
Flashback 2 was announced two years ago. Hopefully, it delivers the same rich story and engaging gameplay.
“Developing a sequel to Flashback is an idea I’ve had for a very long time. I can’t wait for players to discover the new adventures of Conrad B. Hart, a character created almost 30 years ago. With Microids, we are really aiming to please the fans of the original title while being appealing to any players with a weak spot for futuristic games,“ said Cuisset.
Flashback 2 will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
