Foliage Modeling Toolset Natsura 0.6 Now Available
Introducing support for Houdini 21, modular effectors, Nanite Assemblies, Assembly Decorator, a redesigned UI, and more.
SideFX
If you're not familiar with Natsura, it was used on Project Elderwood and is essentially a Houdini-based foliage toolset designed for creating realistic digital vegetation, including game-ready trees and plants. It gives you a lot of control and makes foliage creation pretty efficient. You can simulate how plants naturally grow and guide those processes as they happen, so it's easy to art-direct the result and get exactly the look you want without starting over.
Natsura is currently in early access, and it's free to use with Houdini Apprentice. The latest update, Natsura 0.6, adds support for Houdini 21.0.

It also brings battle-tested Unreal Nanite skeletal assembly support, along with a full set of wind authoring tools. You can now quickly rig twig and branch libraries and build out canopies using the new Assembly workflow. On top of that, there's a new modular effector system that lets you shape trees with plug-and-play simulation modifiers.
