Daniel Bystedt showed the power of Geometry Nodes again.
Making 3D hair can be a tough task, but thankfully, artists have plenty of tools to help them save time and effort, and Daniel Bystedt's new Blender setup is one of them.
Assembled with Geometry Nodes, it creates hair cards for games and real-time rendering using curves. All you need to do is input a set of hair curves, a set of hair cards, and a surface (usually a head) so the magic can happen. The hair cards produced by the tool are deformed along the hair curves and align their twist to the surface geometry.
Then, you're free to explore your choices, easily change the length of the hair, its direction, volume, and much more – just with a couple of strokes and many adjustable parameters.
