Pikimov doesn't store your information and doesn't use AI.
If you work with videos and animation, I wished for a simple editor that would work right in your browser and, most importantly, for free. Your dreams have come true in Pikimov, a motion design and video editing tool developed by pikilipita.
The creator calls it an After Effects alternative, and you can use it without fear of data leakage or your projects being used to train AI as everything you make stays on your computer. Additionally, you don't even need to create an account in order to take advantage of its functions: just go to the website and start editing.
Pikimov works great in Chrome and Edge, but there is no Firefox and Safari support for now because some features are not available there, according to pikilipita.
As the tool is being developed by one creator, it is still in beta and lacks some advanced functions paid software can offer. However, it can do important basic tasks, import images, videos, audio, and 3D models, apply effects, exercise its keyframes animation system, and allow you to work with layer-based compositions.
Hopefully, with the interest it has seen recently, Pikimov will improve fast. It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux and will stay free forever, as the creator promises.
