Free WiP Flowmap Creation Tool for Unity

Omid Saadat showcased an upcoming open-source tool for setting up dynamic and baked flowmaps.

Game Developer and Technical Artist Omid Saadat has recently shared a couple of demos, previewing an impressive upcoming tool for Unity. Currently WiP, Omid's CPU-Powered open-source instrument will enable one to create dynamic and baked flowmaps, special maps that can be used to control the UV coordinates for a water texture, widely utilized to create digital water, whitewater, currents, and more, directly in Unity.

According to the creator, the project is currently at its earliest stages of development and, at least for now, only supports outward flow. Once it is complete, Omid's incredible flowmap tool is set to become available for free via the developer's GitHub page.
