Gaku Tada Unveils a New Painterly-Style 3D Masterpiece Made in Blender

Winter vibes perfectly captured with the help of the Deep Paint add-on.

Gaku Tada, a brilliant Visual Artist and Digital Painter whose unique painterly-style 3D artworks never cease to amaze us, has brought a touch of warmth to the coldest and least inviting season with his latest mesmerizing masterpiece.

Depicting a Red Cardinal perched on a branch amidst a serene snowy scene, the piece perfectly captures the essence of winter outdoors and was created using Blender, a popular open-source 3D software and the artist's tool of choice. Additionally, Gaku utilized his very own Deep Paint add-on to give the scene its watercolor-like appearance.

For those unfamiliar, Deep Paint is a user-friendly toolset that expands the capabilities of Blender's Grease Pencil and allows you to model and paint in 3D more easily. Compatible with Blender 3.6 and higher, the add-on introduces useful tools for turning Grease Pencil strokes into 3D meshes, custom GP and texture paint brushes, useful material presets, and much more.
