The studio is also collaborating with ufotable to turn Genshin Impact into anime.
At Tokyo Game Show 2022, Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse (miHoYo) demonstrated its upcoming urban fantasy action RPG Zenless Zone Zero. The 18-minute video shows the gameplay full of dialogues, exploration, and dynamic combat.
You'll see a variety of characters, including a huge bear, numerous enemies, and cool-looking combos – all in the studio's distinguished anime style.
The game is set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu where players will take on the role of a "Proxy", a professional who guides people in their exploration of the "Hollows" – a supernatural disaster that has destroyed contemporary civilization.
The game will be released for PC, iOS, and Android; the date is yet to be revealed.
Additionally, HoYoverse is collaborating with ufotable – the animation studio behind Fate/Zero and Demon Slayer – to make a Genshin Impact anime. HoYoverse presented a concept trailer of the "long-term project" as part of a developer’s stream on Friday. The anime seems to be in early development, so stay tuned for more.
