EasySnow harnesses the power of Niagara Particles and a Material Function, all controlled through a single Blueprint to create beautiful customizable snow effects and material buildup on 3D models for your scene.
Unreal Engine 5's Niagara can be a little overwhelming and tricky to direct, which is why William Faucher, a seasoned 3D Artist and Unreal Engine Mentor has released this tool for creating heavy snowfalls, light flurries, and blizzards in seconds.
In order to create EasySnow, William Faucher studied and shot real-life snow. Intended for rendering with the Movie Render Queue and Path Tracing, this tool leverages both Niagara Particles and Material Functions using a Blueprint system to conveniently control various snow effects in your entire scene.

Each snowflake is a 3D model based on real-world snow clumps, which get lit, shaded, and rendered realistically. While it can be used in game development, the main focus is on high-quality cinematics, and when combined with Movie Render Queue, EasySnow renders beautiful, falling snow that motion-blurs in a realistic way.
According to the developer, EasySnow also includes a Material Function to easily add and blend accumulated snowfall to all of your models in a level when connected to a Master Material. This world snow Material Function supports Nanite Tessellation/Displacement for realistic results, snow glimmering effects, and full control such as adjusting the amount, the falloff, and the general breakup patterns on the accumulated snow itself.
