Give Your Blender Renders Authentic Film Photography Look

Physically accurate data, realistic film behavior, and an intuitive workflow.

If you need to bring that analog film look into your Blender projects, check out Filmic Plus by SMOUSE. It essentially transforms your Blender camera into a film camera, offering emulated Fujifilm-style film simulations and a one-node analog compositing setup with effects like bloom, halation, film grain, and more.

Filmic Plus lets you recreate the same film recipes photographers use on their Fuji cameras and apply them directly to your renders. According to the developer, the tool was tested against an actual X-T5 and delivered pretty accurate results. The Early Access version comes with a collection of authentic film simulation presets, along with a variety of general filmic and cinematic looks that you can use as a starting point.

SMOUSE also positions Filmic Plus as a physically accurate solution for recreating halation in Blender. The tool features procedural film grain that behaves much like real photographic film, becoming more visible in the shadows and gradually fading in the highlights. Beyond that, Filmic Plus recreates the optical effects that real lenses produce but render engines often miss, like lens flares, reflections, ghosting, bloom, vignetting, dispersion, glints, and radial streaks.

This isn't a LUT pack or a collection of separate add-ons: it's a single node group that brings every stage of the film finishing process into one organized setup. You can toggle and fine-tune each effect in seconds, giving you a DaVinci Resolve-style film finishing workflow.

Purchase Filmic Plus here, or opt for the complete bundle, which includes Filmic Plus plus more Blender tools from SMOUSE.
