Godot presented its Development Fund, which is supposed to "create a direct way for everyone to help us secure stable funding and ensure the longevity of the project."
The Fund allows Godot to "significantly" reduce platform fees, especially since the company doesn't charge VAT on donations.
"Every donation, no matter the size, helps us immensely! With your help we can hire more developers, create high quality demos, pay for hosting services and infrastructure, and make the best possible Godot Engine. The more funds we have, the more we can give back to you and the entire gamedev community."

The Fund has several tiers of support starting from $5 a month. the highest, Sponsor, option lets Godot display your name, link, and logo.
In the future, it will give automated rewards, and you’ll be able to showcase your contribution level next to your username on Godot's main platforms.
