Rockstar unveiled the long-awaited trailer several hours earlier due to a leak.
Rockstar Games has officially released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI earlier than planned, responding to an unfortunate leak that occurred earlier today.
In case you missed it, the trailer initially surfaced on Twitter through user @Gta6trailerleak, whose account was swiftly suspended shortly after the incident. The leaked trailer, featuring low quality and promoting Bitcoin, prompted Rockstar to take charge and unveil the official trailer nearly half a day ahead of the scheduled reveal.
To no one's surprise, the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has disclosed that the game will take place in Vice City, Leonida, the series' version of Miami, Florida. Additionally, the eagerly awaited game will feature two protagonists – a male and a female, with the trailer giving a closer look at Jason and Lucia, both of whom were initially revealed in a 2022 leak. In true GTA fashion, the trailer also offered an in-engine preview of some of the upcoming game's locations, characters, and cutscenes.

"Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what's possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences," commented Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We're thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere."
Currently, there is limited information available regarding the release date of the game, and specifics about the storyline of Grand Theft Auto VI are yet to be disclosed. Nevertheless, it has been revealed in a press release that GTA 6 is scheduled to be launched in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
