GTA 6 Developers Are Cooking "Absolutely Mind-Blowing Things"

The game won Most Wanted Game at the Golden Joystick Awards.

Golden Joystick Awards

GTA6's winning of the Most Wanted Game at Golden Joystick Awards 2024 was no surprise and well deserved. With its 2025 fall release window approaching, the next game in the beloved series, whose last title was released over a decade ago, has been eagerly awaited by gamers. The acceptance speech by David Manley, Rockstar's Publishing Director, takes that anticipation to the next level by teasing that they are working on "absolutely mind-blowing things."

"There's an incredible amount of people doing amazing things on Grand Theft Auto 6. Absolutely mind-blowing things. So it's a real honor to be able to come up here and accept this award on everyone's behalf. I wish more of us could be here. But thank you very much everybody, and yeah, more to come. Thank you."

GTA 6 had beaten strong competitors to win this reward, including Assassin's Creed Shadows, Death Stranding 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, Mafia: The Old Country, Hollow Knight Silksong, and Doom: The Dark Ages. A question that naturally arises when we discuss GTA 6 is when its second trailer will be released. Now that it's almost November 22, the date when a GTA fan had predicted Rockstar would drop a new trailer, we'll soon find out if the moon in Rockstar's picture is truly an indication or a pure fan imagination.

In addition to the Golden Joystick Awards, GTA 6 has also been nominated for the Most Anticipated Game of The Game Awards 2024, which will be announced in roughly three weeks. Do you think GTA6 will take home that trophy as well?
