Take-Two Interactive confirmed that the new installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise will be released in autumn 2025.
There were speculations that GTA 6 might be delayed to 2026, which, however, turned out to be fake news. Last week, six Rockstar employees also said that "they have not heard of any delay." Now, this information is officially confirmed.
In its annual report, Take-Two Interactive stated: "Rockstar Games continues to invest in the franchise and plans to release Grand Theft Auto 6 in the Fall of calendar 2025." It also said that Rockstar would share more details on the game over time.

Take-Two Interactive also highlights the importance of the GTA titles to the company's future success, directly stating that the company is "dependent on the future success of our Grand Theft Auto products." According to the report, Grand Theft Auto is a hit title, and its products contributed 14.7% of the company's net revenue for the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2024.
Hopes and speculations closely follow the long-anticipated GTA 6. Some fans saw signs for the next GTA 6 trailer release date in one of Rockstar's announcements, and recently, data miner Tez2 supposed that the PC version of GTA 6 will see the light of day much sooner than all previous Rockstar games offered.
