Guess What Game Beats All Records with Over 1 Mllion Players at Launch
And half of them played at the same time on Steam.
Subnautica 2 is proving to be the most popular simulator out there nowadays: just during the launch day, it sold over a million copies and saw 467,582 concurrent players on Steam.
Such numbers are impressive if hardly surprising: the game celebrated 5 million wishlists just before the release. Now, it's the best-selling title on Steam, and more is to come on the weekend if those 5 million people decide to join the underwater fun.
92% of Steam players recommend the game, so if you had any doubts, it's time to jump in. Players praise the nostalgic atmosphere and gameplay, the beauty of the world, and even performance – a rare find these days.
But not everyone is ecstatic, naturally. User Spexceptional noticed some interesting points in the EULA. Aside from getting a license, not owning the game, you can't publish recordings, screenshots, or streams without a disclaimer that it's not supported by Krafton.
In case you missed it, Krafton and developers from Unknown Worlds had a falling out when the publisher ousted some of its bosses, and even though it had to reinstate Ted Gill as the CEO, this disclaimer means nothing is forgotten.

Spexceptional also mentioned you're apparently not allowed to go against "social norms," whatever that means, and a bunch of other stuff that, let's be honest, almost every game developer requires today.
If this doesn't scare you, welcome to Subnautica 2!
