Helldivers 2 Now Takes Up 85% Less Disk Space
The developers shared the slim version as a public beta, which you can opt into.

Good news for players concerned about large disk space requirements – the developers of Helldivers 2 reduced its PC installation size with "no functional differences," and made the slim version available in a technical beta.
The devs recently shared that they performed the reduction "from ~154GB to ~23GB", saving about 131GB, which is approximately 85% of the initial size. As shared by the creators, the decrease became possible due to a "complete de-duplication of the data."
The developers roll out the renewed version to early adopters as a public technical beta. The regular and the slim versions have no functional differences besides the installation size, and you can opt out at any time. Once the public technical beta confirms that the slim version has no issues, it will become the default for all players. The developers also warn that patches may cause issues with modded games and advise only players with a clean installation to opt into the slim version.
