“Not happening. Sorry bro.”
Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 recently received a major update, delivering over a hundred improvements which made the community wild with joy. It's not surprised to see the comments sections of the game, as well as the new CEO and the boss's Twitter accounts, are full of expressions of gratitude, as well as numerous "can you" requests. One fan specifically asked for a co-op story mode. However, the new CEO, Shams Jorjani, responded, “Not happening. Sorry bro.”
Shams went on to explain, “That's like building an entirely new game,” a statement that might disappoint those hoping for a story mode. However, in another comment, Shams illuminated the studio's future plans. He stated that the team plans to take a summer break, which is reasonable after such a significant update that required a tremendous team effort. Despite this, the team's goal is to maintain the current pace of updates and even increase it moving forward.
Even though the story mode might not be happening, Johan Pilestedt, the boss of Arrowhead, confirmed in a Steam update post, “...we are not done, we will continue to refine and improve the play experience to keep the game fresh!” players can definitely expect more features and improvements as the team gears up for the future.
