Here Are Some Details on Assassin's Creed Hexe

The game is coming in 2026.

Tom Henderson, the game industry's well-known insider, recently shed some light on one of Ubisoft's upcoming projects, Assassin's Creed Hexe. The game was announced back in September 2022 and promised to bring a whole new experience to the beloved franchise.

According to Henderson's report, the game is currently in its early stages of development and is slated for a 2026 release on the Infinity platform, which aims to consolidate all series games in one place. Assassin's Creed Hexe will have a more linear gameplay compared to its predecessors but will retain some open-world elements, with gameplay reminiscent of early Assassin's Creed titles.

Hexe will feature a single main character named Elsa with supernatural abilities. Recent footage shown to Henderson showcased Elsa's skill where she could possess a cat to distract soldiers by knocking over objects. The gameplay footage displayed a dark and gloomy atmosphere set in a medieval city's cobbled streets.

The developer intends to incorporate Fear System in Hexe, drawing inspiration from Assassin's Creed Syndicate 'Jack The Ripper' DLC. The game is rumored to be set in Central Europe during the Holy Roman Empire of the 16th century, focusing on the witch hunts of that era.
