We now know the new prices thanks to the official store and retailers.
On August 3, the original Switch console became more expensive in the U.S. due to "current market conditions" resulting from tariffs. When Nintendo announced the changes, the new prices were not revealed immediately, but now we know them thanks to the official store page retailers.
Console Prices:
- Switch – $340 (was $300)
- Switch OLED – $400 (was $350)
- Switch Lite – $230 (was $200)
The price changes also affected controllers, including those available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, as well as other accessories like the Alarmo clock.
Accessory Prices:
- Joy-Con controllers (set of 1) – $90 (was $80)
- Switch Pro Controller (1) – $80 (was $70)
- NES Controller – $70 (was $60)
- SNES Controller – $35 (was $30)
- N64/Genesis Controllers – $55 (was $50)
- Amiibo Figures – $20 (was $16)
- Alarmo Clock – $110 (was $100)
Prices for the Switch 2 and its accessories have not changed yet, as I assume they want to stick to the original marketing materials. However, it's safe to say that prices will increase if the U.S. doesn't announce new terms for countries supplying goods.
You can find the original announcement from Nintendo here. In other Nintendo news, the company has recently banned a Nintendo Switch 2 user for installing second-hand Switch 1 games.
