Hire Skeleton Waiters for Your Tavern in This Upcoming Simulator

This fun management sim from the developer of Game Dev Tycoon is coming this November.

From the developer of Game Dev Tycoon, a beloved 2D simulation game created by indie developer Greenheart Games, comes Tavern Keeper, “a detailed business management simulation.”

As the game’s title shows, you take on the role of a tavern owner and build a little cozy tavern from the ground up. You can customize the tavern as you like, choosing from tons of decorations like wooden tables, bulletin boards, wallpapers, fireplaces, wine barrels, and more. This marks the very first step of a grand business, and there are many tasks ahead to run the tavern successfully.

The gameplay trailer showcases a vivid 3D fantasy world with a plethora of “eccentric characters,” as the creator puts it, like skeletons who work as waiters or cleaners, a Shrek-like monster, and many locals with odd ideas and requests who walk into your tavern. Some of them are showcased in this Twitter post:

The characters might be funny and peculiar, but what's even more notable is the food served to them. A rat skewer, which literally makes me shout “eww” while watching the trailer, might become popular among customers. There are tons of details to pay attention to while taking care of the tavern to make it prosper. “Temperature simulations, varied personality traits and dozens of other systems keep things interesting.”

Tavern Keeper looks like a fun and relaxing simulation game that is perfect for killing time. We higly encourage you to add it to the wishlist and follow the developer on Twitter to receive future updates.
