"Albion has beckoned once again."
Horizon Forbidden West senior writer Andrew Walsh joins Playground Games to work on the Fable reboot. "Albion has beckoned once again," he said on Twitter, alluding to his experience with Fable Legends – a multiplayer action game canceled in 2016.
Walsh has worked on several well-known games, including The Division 2, Prince of Persia, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
He joins other talented specialists at Playground Games, such as Anna Megill, who was appointed as a narrative lead earlier this year.
The Fable reboot was announced back in 2020, but the developers haven't shown anything to the public except the reveal trailer so far. Although the development was slow for a long time due to the studio's lack of people with knowledge of how to make open-world RPGs, Playground seems to be actively hiring new talent, so there's a chance we'll see the game in the coming years.
