How to Make Cyberpunk Magic Dissolve Effect with Blender's Geometry Nodes

Looks like sci-fi Sailor Moon.

Clothes transformation effects are almost always fancy and impressive, and 3D artist and animator Gloria's cyberpunk effect is not an exception. She created a beautiful magic dissolve, but the clothing materializes instead of vanishing – reminds me of Sailor Moon dress-up sequences.

The best part is you don't have to content yourself with simply admiring: Gloria has released a tutorial where she explains how you can do the same with Blender's almighty Geometry Nodes. You will need 3 meshes, some booleans, and particle effects; here is the full video you can follow:

It is simple enough, so be sure to try it and visit Gloria's X/Twitter to find intricate digital outfits and other amazing Blender decisions, like this neat sewing technique for Substance 3D Painter.
