
During last week's TED talk, unavailable at the moment, ex-Apple designer and the co-founder of Humane, a startup that specializes in producing AI-powered tech, Imran Chaudhri provided a brief demonstration of a futuristic device the company has been developing.
The wearable AI-based gadget presented by Chaudhri was shown to be able to provide spoken responses to the developer's questions, project a screen onto various surfaces, including a human hand, make phone calls, with Chaudhri receiving two calls during the presentation and answering them, and even translate human speech in real-time. According to the developer, the device is "completely standalone" and one won't "need a smartphone or any other device to pair with it".
