id Software's 1996 Quake Has Been Ray Traced

This new mod adds a path tracing renderer to the original Quake.

Software Developer Sultim Tsyrendashiev, a.k.a. sultim-t, who previously ray traced such old-school classics as Serious Sam and Doom, continues upgrading our beloved childhood games with yet another awesome mod. This time, the developer unveiled Quake: Ray Traced, a new mod that adds a path tracing renderer to id Software's original 1996 Quake using the RayTracedGL1 library, drastically improving the game's lighting. According to the creator, the mod is based on the vkQuake – a port of QuakeSpasm to Vulkan API.
