One of the most recognizable creatures in Stranger Things is a Demogorgon, a creepy monster with a flower-like head full of sharp teeth. Demogorgons returned to the show in Season 5, and if you wondered how they were fleshed out, Industrial Light & Magic is ready to share a glimpse.

In a new Behind the Magic video, ILM demonstrated how CGI was implemented into the scene where the Demogorgon is surrounded by armed men. It's fascinating to see how nothingness slowly becomes a formidable creature thanks to the talented team.

According to the Duffer Brothers, who created the show, the Demogorgon model was created a long time ago in collaboration with artist Aaron Sims. If you want to know the origins and details of the monster, check out their interview about Season 4.
