3D Artist known as WK042 continues their series of appealing 3D materials with a new amazing piece that, at first glance, doesn't even look like a material, but rather as a fully-fledged 3D model.
Showcasing the artist's mastery of Height Maps, this material was inspired by the traditional half-timbered (fachwerk) houses WK042 saw during a trip to Quedlinburg, Germany, perfectly capturing the facades and beams characteristic of the original architectural style. To create this material, the artist utilized Substance 3D Designer, with Marmoset Toolbag used for rendering. Additionally, WH042 sourced the plants and ground materials from Megascans to complete the sample scene.
